Learn about modern China, from Pearl River Delta
Since September 2009, NSS curriculum of liberal studies has been pushed officially. As the subject “Modern China” was listed as one of the six units of liberal studies, liberal studies in Hong Kong become closely linked with development of China. During the 30 years of reform and open, China has tremendously changed. China’s enhancement of comprehensive national strength and the rise of international status demonstrate the effect of the reform and open. When the eyes of the world are on this oriental huge dragon that is waking up, as a member of China, Hong Kong youth should realize the opportunities and challenges in the peaceful development progress objectively and comprehensively, in order to make development orientation for future and lay a good foundation of knowledge for meeting NSS curriculum.
