Tsinghua University National Education Program for Teachers in Hong Kong is a part of “Hong Kong Teachers National Education Program and Study Tour” which is sponsored by Association for Celebration of Reunification of Hong Kong with China Charity Trust. Tsinghua University National Education Program for Teachers in Hong Kong provides Hong Kong teachers and headmasters with an opportunity to visit famous university of China “Tsinghua University” and receive professional training by top professors. Through lectures on China national situations, visiting and communion discussion, Hong Kong teachers enhance understanding of motherland’s politics, economy, military, history, diplomacy, “one country, two systems” and the Basic Law, and strengthen love to motherland. This program provides professional training on “Modern China” unit for front-line teachers and widens their perspective.

Characteristics

1. Receive lesions form experienced professors of Tsinghua University and discuss problems on China’s politics, economy, diplomacy and law which are contained in “Modern China” unit of literacy lessons with them.
2. Visit the third Guard division and watch military tattoo, experience defense modernization of China.
3. Visit Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance against Japanese Aggression and Lugou Bridge, know the history of motherland.
4. Have a rare opportunity to watch solemn flag-raising ceremony in Tiananmen Square.
5. Have a discussion with List of political parties in the People's Republic of China and enhance understanding of China’s political system.
